HUNTING PERMITS

To go hunting on public conservation land you need a DOC hunting permit and your dogs must have a current Kiwi Aversion training Certificate.

Each person within a hunting party must have a separate permit, whether hunting with a firearm, bow or knife.

KIWI AVERSION TRAINING FOR DOGS

Dogs pose a serious threat to the survival of Kiwi.

By having your dog Kiwi aversion trained, you can reduce the risk of your dog killing Kiwi.

Hunters who hunt on land administered by the Department of Conservation must have a current Kiwi Aversion Training certificate to obtain a hunting permit.

Even if your dog is Kiwi Aversion Trained, you cannot take the dog into Kiwi Zones.
Dogs are not allowed in Kiwi Zones.

To have your dogs trained or retrained contact our office on 07-3155617 to arrange a suitable time.

You will need to bring:

1. Preferably a lead for your dogs
2. Micro chip numbers for each dog (if applicable) for the Kiwi Aversion certificate

3. We charge $20 per dog for training
